4th Week of February, 2019

Monday = school and hubby back to Florida.  Again.  Kari had her first official day of track practice.

Tuesday was track and gymnastics.  Today was the first day we were also able to count our fruit flies.  You use "fly nap" to anesthetize them so they will hold still.  Then you use a dissecting microscope to identify the flies and divide them by sex and then by the presence or absence of the mutation.  Once they are counted, for this particular portion of the study, once they were counted, we disposed of them in alcohol.  My friends, in particular, now call me a genocidal maniac....
Wednesday was allllllll day school, track and church.

Thursday... track and some warranty repair stuff.  I was also able to record an annoying/funny habit of Pixie's. When there is no food in the bowl....  she, um, lets us know.
And she continues to do it until the food bowl is filled.
Getting more and more noisy to attract more and more attention until her wish is actually fulfilled.

Friday, um.....  nothing of note.

Saturday we had originally blocked out to go to the temple with the Hills.  Unfortunately, those plans didn't work out, but we were able to make other plans.  We decided to go Banning Mills, with some fun and amazing zip lines!  Before we left, hubby did an amazing job as a dad and took the two girls to go get fancy running shoes.  They were there when the store opened, right at 6:30.  They measured the girls feet, and did some special scan thing to tell them what kind of shoes would fit their feet best.

Sunday we had some storms, that ended in one of the biggest tornadoes that Alabama had seen in several years.  And, it passed within a mile of our house!!!
