Welcome to 2019!!! Technically on the first day of the year we were still in Utah and SCUBA diving in the crater. And technically, most of the first week was still part of that vacation, so.... I kinda skipped/labeled that week something different. But this was the first week we went back to "normal" life, so.... I consider it the real first week of January :) And of 2019!!! Woo hoo!
Monday the kids went back to school and hubby went back to work. I got to stay home with less responsibilities, and it was fabulous!
Tuesday, hubby went back to Florida, and it was gymnastics for the girls.
Wednesday, some vehicle maintenance and regular church stuff.
Thursday was a trip to the groomers for the dog and grocery shopping.
On Friday Dylan hurt his finger playing football at school. It swelled quite a bit like Kari's and the injury looked similar to my untrained eye as well. So... It was worth getting check out. Getting a good comparative picture of pinkies on opposite hands is difficult to do. But this one isn't too bad. You can clearly see the swelling compared to the other pinky. (These pictures are actually from the following Monday when we went to the doctor)
And even though it isn't compared, you can still tell that its swollen in this one.
Here is the drill: you go to the doc, get a referral for an xray, then wait for the xray to be read in case you need a cast. So, we grabbed a bit to eat while we waited to hear if he would need a cast or not.
The xray came back negative for any breaks. So we just continued to tape the finger to its neighbor for a while until it felt better :)
After school, we got all the kids packed and ready to go to our first 2019 weekend at Pa's house!
