Knock Knock...

Who's there?

Apple Juice... {giggle giggle giggle}

This is Kaitlyn's favorite joke right now... She made it up herself :)

Just playing some pool...

Don't ask me where the ping pong paddles come in. It's their game...

Pioneer Woman

And, if you aren't already involved in this lady's blog, I completely, wholeheartedly, recommend it. She is hi-larious. I recommend starting with the love story link and then continuing to roam around. I just found her 3 weeks ago, and there is still lots of stuff I haven't had time to explore. Love her!

Quiet Time Adventures

Today Kari played with shaving cream to keep her busy while I did other things. She wasn't quite all into it because she wasn't sure how dirty she could get. Maybe we will try again later :)

My Baby Daddy

I love him. He is a pretty good guy. For Fathers Day we gave him a tie that had a picture of the kids. I thought it was pretty creative :)

My Baby Daddy and his tie
Close up of the tie
And just a funny picture of Kari and Daddy watching TV. Kids are no respecters of personal space...

Dylan

This post is several fold. First, I am including some cute pictures of Dylan's continuing male pattern baldness. He, like his sisters, is going to loose all the hair he came with and grow some new ones. Also, like his sisters, he is loosing it rather quickly, which kinda made me nervous. But it also makes him a hairy (or should I say hairless) beast. Hair all over in his bed, his blankets, and when I cuddle him, on me... Oh well...

Notice in these pictures not the spit up on his shirt, but the shirt itself. I liked the cute baseball buttons, which also happen to be his fathers sport of choice.

And this last picture, I just think is cute of his deep dreamy eyes :) Love that little chubby face :)

This video started as a cute little Dylan exercise video. But Kaitlyn got in the way... I couldn't resist.

Happy Birthday Pa!

Pa is 90. Can you believe it?!? 90!!! We went down to celebrate his birthday and it also happened to be a family reunion, so everyone came. It was really fun. I didn't happen to get any good pictures of the reunion or his 90th birthday party. But, here are some random pictures of this weekend.

The kids hanging out on the couch.
Dylan celebrated Pa's birthday by taking a 2 hour nap on his lap. I kid you not. And of course, Pa wouldn't move until Dylan woke up by himself. I am sure his leg was numb. But, I think it is pretty cute they are holding hands.

All the Smith Cousins watching a movie before bed. Seconds before this picture was snapped, Kaitlyn was in the exact same position :)

This has nothing to do with Pa's birthday. But I wanted to put the picture up, so... I took this picture because Dylan was hanging out on the floor, and Mollie put her toy in front of him expecting him to play with her. Made me laugh :)

And this is a picture to show that he is loosing his hair. Not only is he loosing it, but he is loosing it in patches of baldness. Poor kid...

Zipping By- Kaitlyn

I strongly dislike how blogger goes backwards... I was gonna do this all on one post, but it didn't work, so... Read the following one for an explanation.

Stills of Kaitlyn:

Zipping By- Kari

My sister in law and her new husband aquired a zip line and set it up on the woods at Pa's. The girls loved it. Kari started on her bum, and graduated to standing up. Kaitlyn started by riding with her sister and cousin, and graduated to going by herself. They thought it was a blast! Enjoy some stills...

Videos of the same thing :)

And a video of Kaitlyn eating her first popsicle...

Dylan-ism

Well, lets complete the set, shall we?

I love his nursing, what should I call them?... actions... Before he starts he has that open mouth, head twisting from side to side, whole body stiff and anxious thing... Then, when he latches, his knees pull up, his elbows pull in, and his little fists hold on to either side. Then I love between sides how he gets anxious and fusses as he rubs his face all over my shoulder and tries to eat my shirt or gives me nice slobbery hickeys on my neck while I try to burp him. And, most of all, I love that the whole process repeats itself as he gets ready for the next side :)

Kaitlyn-ism

I think it is pretty darn hilarious that when Kaitlyn throws an all out temper tantrum, she stomps her little foot. I thought that was a learned behavior. Kari doesn't stomp her foot, and I think it has been at least a day since the last time I stomped mine... {wink... maybe longer than a day, if ever}. Where do they get this stuff?!?

Mid-late twenties, kids, responsibilities...jeez, you're old

Quoted from my loving BIL Danny Boy. Just wait little man... You are next!!! :)

Was it the most exciting, most fabulous, most bestest birthday ever? Maybe not, but, it was still ok. With the hubby out of town and the inability to eat eggs, chocolate, or milk, I wasn't even planning on doing a cake. However, at dinner, Kari burst into tears because there wasn't any. I think she was really upset because she wasn't going to get a treat after dinner. So, I followed a recipe for a cake the in-laws make called "dump cake", (it doesn't have eggs and I changed the butter to margarine) and am eating that. No candles, but the family did sing to me :) I did treat myself to a pj day. No grocery shopping, only 2 loads of laundry. Easy meals. Hey, I will take what I can get. Maybe now that I am in my mid-late twenties, birthdays can be officially low key. Happy birthday to me :)

Kari-ism

Hubby mentioned something about getting calluses on his feet from his work boots. Kari looked at him and seriously said "Daddy, are you kidding?" Daddy questioningly replies "No." Kari responds "Daddy, cows won't fit into your boots... "

Comparisons :)

My dad was nice enough to send me some old pictures of myself. He sent me at 2, 3, and 4. Here is a pretty recent picture of the kids. Kari is 4, Kaitlyn is almost 2 and Dylan is 10 weeks. What do you think? Do they look like I did?

Baby Laughs

This is Dylans first laughs captured on video. I know they aren't full blown laughs, but they aren't bad for a 12 week old :)

Dylan's fingers

Kaitlyn and Dylan

I have several pictures of Kari holding Dylan, but not Kaitlyn. A few days ago, they both cooperated. Thompson said she thought Dylan appreciated when cousin McKenna came out because it took some of the heat off him. This is pretty normal to what he gets in a 5 minute period :) They just love him!

Pictures that'll break your heart :)

Some of you have been to my house and seen the little cradle that hubby made the girls (and I designed :). Kari was playing with it the other day and I needed to change Kaitlyn's diaper, so... I put him in it. Lets just say, he should be glad he has his own, because this one appears to be a bit on the small side.

Poor kid barely fits. Note the heart cut outs in the ends.

And, as always, his poor little hand sticking through the bars.
And I just couldn't resist taking these :)

Day 3

It just gets prettier :)

Swing, Swing, Swing

I finally broke out the swing. Of course, both of his sisters managed to worm their way into it before Dylan did. I have no idea how Kari got in there, and Kaitlyn actually fit rather well. Anyway, here are some pictures of his first swinging-ness :)

Hello :)
And I love this picture. The tilt of the head, the feet holding each other, biting the lower lip. You just can't lose :)
