Kaitlyn story: In the last 2 weeks or so, Kaitlyn has been talking and repeating everything we say. On the way up the stairs, she started counting, one, two, six, nine, ten. Then, when I was in the shower, she came and peeked in and said "doing?" As in "what are you doing?" She tries to repeat everything, whether she knows what it is or how to use it correctly. And she even has an evil laugh when she is doing something she knows she is not supposed to. Well... Apparently it bothers my subconscious alot more than I thought. Last night I dreamed that she came in her cute little footie pjs, looking exactly like she had when I put her to bed. Except, she came in and asked to borrow the car so she could go to prom with her boyfriend.... AHHHH!!!
Kari story: Kari drew a family portrait yesterday. It is a story worthy picture because we were a family of 6. Mom, Dad, Kari, Kaitlyn, Baby Brother, and "the boy kid". Apparently we are having another little boy after baby brother is born (in close to 2 weeks!) Maybe we don't have as much say as we thought :)
That is all.

Guess who likes Frank Sinatra?
I decided to work on Baby Brother's "Hooter Hider" tonight (it is really a nursing cover, but I think that hooter hider sounds funnier/better). I couldn't see the tv, so I put on a cd so I could at least have background noise. It was a new Frank Sinatra cd I got for Christmas. Well, it seems Baby Brother likes my taste in music because he was movin' and groovin' all over the place.
Again, I know they are not the most exciting videos ever... And again, I tried to breath as inconspicuously as possible...
Enjoy!!! Look... He's Dancin' He's Dancin'!!!

And then the fight started...
My wife sat down on the couch next to me as I was flipping channels. She asked, "What's on TV?"
I said, "Dust."
And then the fight started.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary. She said, "I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 in about 3 seconds." I bought her a scale.
And then the fight started.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace expensive... So I took her to a gas station...
And then the fight started.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table. My wife asked, 'Do you know her?'
'Yes,' I sighed, 'She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since.'
'My God!' says my wife, 'who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?'
And then the fight started.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I rear-ended a car this morning. So, there we were alongside the road and slowly the other driver got out of his car. You know how sometimes you just get soooo stressed and little things just seem funny? Yeah, well I couldn't believe it... he was a DWARF!!!
He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted, 'I AM NOT HAPPY!'
So, I looked down at him and said, 'Well, then which one are you?'
And then the fight started.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday morning I got up early, quietly dressed, made my lunch, grabbed the dog, and slipped quietly into the garage. I hooked up the boat up to the truck, and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour. The wind was blowing 50 mph, so I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad all day. I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed. I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispered, 'The weather out there is terrible.'
My loving wife of 10 years replied, 'Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that?'
And then the fight started ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took my order first. 'I'll have the strip steak, medium rare, please.'
He said, 'Aren't you worried about the mad cow?'
'Nah, she can order for herself.'
And then the fight started ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
A woman is standing nude, looking in the bedroom mirror. She is not happy with what she sees and says to her husband, 'I feel horrible; I look old, fat and ugly. I really need you to pay me a compliment.'
The husband replies, 'Your eyesight's darn near perfect.'
And then the fight started ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The drunken best man stood to toast the groom on his wedding day.
“Brother,” he said, “Before our dear old father passed away he gave me some very sage advice. At this time, I feel it my duty to pass it along to you.”
“‘Father said there were really only 4 rules for getting married.
1. You must marry a woman who loves you unconditionally.
2. You must marry a woman who will always challenge you.
3. You must marry a woman who you always want to make love to. And,
4. You must make sure these women never meet each other.’”
And then the fight started …

Hockey Game
We took Kari to a hockey game last night. She has been to one more and wanted to see another time where they hit the "black butt on the ice"... We got seats pretty high up anticipating that we might have to leave early since the game didn't even start until bedtime. However, the girls were PERFECT! It was great!!! The game itself was alright... No fights. They stopped all of them... What fun is a hockey game if there are no fights?!? But I thought I would pass on a few cute Kari-isms. Kari was very observant and noticed the goalie has on more/different pads then everyone else. I explained to her it was because they were trying to get the puck into the net behind him and he didn't want to get hurt. She asked, and I quote "Did his mother give them to him?" So cute... :) Then, they threw stuff into the crowd and Kari started crying. Not throwing a tantrum, just genuinely, heart breakingly sad she didn't get one of the things they threw. She also ate almost a whole bag of cotton candy by herself. And, since it was raining, she was able to bring her SpongeBob umbrella and keep herself from getting wet on the way in and out. She loved it! Both girls danced to all the music. Kaitlyn also did great! She just sat in our laps the whole time. They were fabulous! A total success! Here's to great kids and hockey games!!! (I didn't bring my camera, so I don't have any pictures... Not that I am sure there would have been many interesting ones, but, there are none just the same)

Robes
Grandma made the girls robes for Christmas. They are pretty darn cute :) So here are a couple of pictures for Grandma.
I asked Kaitlyn to smile and this is what I got... Kinda a cheesy grimace. Kari couldn't take her eyes away from Dora.
Aren't they sweet hugging... Except Kari looks like she is about to smother Kaitlyn. She is such a tinesy mite...
Then, or course, one of Kari...
And one of Kaitlyn...

Baby Brother makes an appearance
Sorta... I know it isn't the most exciting video ever, but it is kinda cool. I tried to hold my breath for as much of the video as I could, so most of what you see is baby brother. First he rolls around a little bit and then appears to get the hic-ups. Enjoy if you care :^)

Kari Karate :)
Here she is in all her morning glory. But, I thought it was a great video, so... (and listen to Kaitlyn in the background because she wanted to see the "baby" in the monitor)

So...
I feel like I should post something since it has been so long. We went out of town for a week while hubby was up at the job site. It was nice to have family around and to have someone else to help watch the kids. But not a whole lot of exciting stuff happened while we were there. Now, we are home and still not doing the most exciting stuff... What can I say, I am boring. While we were gone I did get to finally read Breaking Dawn (the 4th book of the Twilight Saga). If you would like to discuss it, I would be happy to "book club" (as my sister calls it) with you. Also, I know it is kinda early, but our taxes are already done and we are expecting our direct deposit refund in 10 days! Yay! Finally, what with everything going on, I have tried to be more coupon/sale aware. The problem I feel I run into is that the coupons/sales are usually for brand name items. This isn't bad, it just seems that I am not particularly brand particular, and can usually get the store brand for just as cheap (if not cheaper) without a coupon. There are a few things I am not willing to skimp on however, and I was lucky enough to be looking through the CVS flyer and find some good deals. Colgate toothpaste is buy one get one free and if you buy $20 worth of other stuff, you get a movie (that Kari has been wanting) for $4.99. I feel so couponed :) And, I have been starting to stock up on diapers for Baby brother, so when he is here, it won't be so bad (maybe) and I will be a little bit better prepared. Who knows, maybe all this will pay off in the end. Anyway, that is the end of my boring life for today. I will try and do something more exciting in the week to come :^)
Oh wait, something exciting did happen last week. Some of you know my mother sent 3 rather large boxes for Christmas this year. One of them got lost. Well, guess what showed up this last week? It ain't exactly Christmas in July, but February is almost as good!
