6 to Date

While I was gone from the internet, Kari lost a coupla teeth.  This was number 5.
Moving quickly on to number 6.
She thinks it is pretty awesome that she can practically stick her whole tongue out of her mouth without opening it.
I keep telling her she needs to leave some of them in her mouth so she can eat...

Grandpa's Visit

My dad had meetings in the states (in UT the same week my mom was here visiting), and stopped by my house for a whole 10 hours to spend time with us and to pick up my mother.  Everyone enjoyed his company.
Right Kelsey?
Grandpa actually stopped through on Valentines Day (which was also the day we celebrated Kelsey's birthday).  Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and it was time for the grandparents to go.  Despite looking like she wanted to eat his had, Kelsey really did enjoy having them here.
Grandma was even brave enough to risk some serious stickiness to get a good bye kiss.
Bye Grandma and Grandpa!  Until next time....

Kelsey Turns 1

February 13th is Kelsey's birthday.  Much like I suspect Kari will always have present wrapped in Christmas paper, Kaitlyn will always have fireworks for her birthday (even though she is deathly afraid of them, go figure), and Dylan will always have green themed things, Kelsey will always have pink heart things.  Which is kinda fine with me, because she is my cute little pink princess!
Cupcakes for everyone!
Check out that cute little scrunchy nose!  I love that she is looking more at me than at the cupcake.
Not 100% sure what to do with it.
So daddy helped her figure it out.
Then she caught on pretty quickly...
And things just went downhill from there.

Cute scrunchy face at Daddy!
Cute Scrunchy face at the camera!
Messy little nakie birthday girl!
With a bow.  Lets not forget the bow.  It is important :)
She actually didn't do all that badly in the mess department.  Or maybe it is just because I am comparing her to my leetle brudder who had it in his ears, his bellybutton, then turned around and sat in it.  Men.
I think she enjoyed it.  What do you think?

Happy (late) Birthday Kelsey Gayle!  We are so happy to have you!

Valentimes

While Grandma was here, I had some friends come over to make some Oreo truffles.  It is the first time I have made them, and they were quite yummy :)  My friend brought her super duper food processor to make the process easier (which it did).  But it also made the process louder.  This picture makes Kelsey look terrified.
But it didn't really bother her that much :)
For Valentines Day I got the bright idea to have my children give out cakepops instead of suckers (which I hate (because they get get everything sticky and they take forever to finish)) and because I figured it would be cheaper than any kind of chocolate.  So, other than a few hours of work for me, I thought they would be better all around.
I think they turned out pretty cute too!
I ran out of sticks, and had some chocolate flavored almond bark left over from the truffles, so we just had some (strawberry flavored because the girls wanted them pink) cake balls.  And they were pretty yummy!
Lastly, I had to take this picture of Mollie Dog.  Kaitlyn gave her a valentine card.
She didn't want anyone to be left out :)

Grandma's Visit

Remember that my parents live in Chile, South America?  Have I mentioned that my mother had to have back surgery and has, therefore, been in the States for several months?  It was finally time for her to go home, but she was nice enough to stop by my house for a week to hang with the kids.  She also let us look through all the cool stuff she had acquired.  Kaitlyn loved the earrings.  And guess what?!?!  These are clip ons! :)
Grandma also played around with make up.
We know little girls like to play dress up.

And who better to help than Grandma?
Because Mom is not cool enough...
Or too much of a stickler...  Either way, the girls were glad to have Grandma around to play!

Laundry Day

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

The computer is finally charging!  Yay!  After replacing the cord, the battery, the mother board, and the cord again (all on 4 separate occasions) the computer has finally charged correctly for the last 24 hours.  While I occasionally got on for a few minutes here or there, I never felt comfortable doing much because I never knew when the cord would freak out again, or when I would actually NEED the computer instead of just WANTING to use the computer.  So, assuming that things don't go wonky again, I might actually be here for a while :)

Since I am just kinda getting back into the swing of things, we'll start easy with just a cute picture and caption.
"You never know what you will find in the laundry basket."

The End.

See you tomorrow! :)

Update

I turned it the computer.  It came back in a week.  I was so excited that it was so quick.  I used it for a whole 3 hours, and then discovered that it wasn't fixed.  Not at all.  So, we are still working on things.  I, personally, am alive.  My computer, however...  Not so much.  Thanks for being patient.  I have lots of fun stuff to write about.  Now if only I could get my computer to work!  Here's to being able to post soon! :)

Going Dark

Bad news. I have to turn in the computer again. The previous problem that we had has not actually been resolved. Truthfully, I have been absent from the internautical world (like my creation of a word there?) for several days now, but I scheduled posts out for a few days to lessen your withdrawal symptoms.  I hope to return shortly, with a much improved, and completely fixed computer.  Stay tuned.  I hope to be back soon!

Cell Phone Pics

Hubby is lucky enough to have a job that provides him with a cell phone.  This particular cell phone, while not the absolute top of the line, is leaps and bounds ahead of the old-brick-emergency-pay-as-you-go phone I have.  No.  I'm not jealous.  Why do you ask?

His old work phone recently stopped working, and the techie guru's at his office provided him with another.  In the course of all this, he removed the old pictures from his phone.  He had nothing to do with them particularly at work, so he bequeathed them to me, because I am a mother, and I have a place for everything.

This one was taken by Kari when allowed to play with the phone one day.
Kelsey.  At sister Kari's softball game.  Look how little she is!
And bald.
And chunky!
This one (obviously taken months later-although notice the amount of hair still remains the same) is from a lunch outing.  Kelsey was having a hard time deciding between the surf and turf and a salad :)
This one hubby took of the kids.  I don't know where he was, or why I wasn't with him when the three older kids were, but it was obviously somewhere with a plethora of cowboy hats.
Yes.  I used plethora in a sentence.  Deal with it. :)
