Tennessee, Tennessee

The week before the 4th we went up to visit with the hubby in Tennessee. Here are some pictures of us hanging out.

I know this one isn't super great, but Daddy and Kaitlyn are snuggling and I just love Kari's face...
Jumping on the rental bed. I know, bad mommy....

Dylan, hanging out on the floor.
He's so pensive :)

PS- bonus to the person who tells me who sang that song.

Fabulous Fourth

For the Fourth of July, we met some family outside of Atlanta. My SIL's husband's family owns a beautiful house near the lake, and they were nice enough to share their boat, food, house and holiday with us. They were super hospitable and welcoming, and a great time was had by all! We were able to see fireworks twice (once on the 3rd from a golf course, and once on the 4th from the boat). We swam in the lake, stayed in a fabulous condo, ate breakfast at the country club and just had fun in general. I had my first experience with a Wii (which was actually really fun) and got to spend time with family and friends. That is what being an American is all about. And thanks to those who struggled to get us there ;) Without those who fought for it, I wouldn't be able to hang out in the lake :)

This picture is of Dylan in his life vest on the boat. Poor kid doesn't have much of a neck, and it looks like it is strangling him... It didn't though. He is alive and well :)

Happy Day Video

Pretty self explanitory. However, I do find my remarks in the background pretty dang funny. Oh well...

Happy Day!!!

During the holiday we celebrated Kaitlyn's second birthday. We also celebrated Pop's mumble mumble birthday. My in-laws in-laws let us come over and hang out with them. We ate cake one night and opened presents the next day (it was getting too late to be able to open presents and see the fireworks). Here are pictures. Happy birthday to Kaitlyn (who says happy day instead of happy birthday) and to Pop!

Happy Birthday Pop!!!
Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!!! Check out that cheesy grin :)
Kari licking the icing off the candle. Don't ask what that red spot on her cheek is. I dunno.

Ready. Set....
Go!
Now we are really getting started.
Yum!
There we go. Now it starts :)

The next series of pictures is from the following morning opening up presents. My BIL, Matthew, took most of them. Thanks Matt!

Some super cool pop up books Nana (who is a librarian, and therefor always gives the coolest books) gave her. Pay no attention to the lobster holding the book. And yes, I did use sunscreen mother. ;)

"A Moo-mee"

A shot of the Macks fabulous back porch.
Kaitlyn and Meg fighting over who gets to open the next present.
(sorry Meg, it had to be done :)
Peek-A-Boo. Whats in there?
What a goofball :)
Mrs Mack reading the super cool pop up books.
What a look...
What can I say? She's a professional. Short shorts, high heels and a doctors kit... What else could a child want?

Knock Knock...

Who's there?

Apple Juice... {giggle giggle giggle}

This is Kaitlyn's favorite joke right now... She made it up herself :)

Just playing some pool...

Don't ask me where the ping pong paddles come in. It's their game...

Pioneer Woman

And, if you aren't already involved in this lady's blog, I completely, wholeheartedly, recommend it. She is hi-larious. I recommend starting with the love story link and then continuing to roam around. I just found her 3 weeks ago, and there is still lots of stuff I haven't had time to explore. Love her!

Quiet Time Adventures

Today Kari played with shaving cream to keep her busy while I did other things. She wasn't quite all into it because she wasn't sure how dirty she could get. Maybe we will try again later :)

My Baby Daddy

I love him. He is a pretty good guy. For Fathers Day we gave him a tie that had a picture of the kids. I thought it was pretty creative :)

And just a funny picture of Kari and Daddy watching TV. Kids are no respecters of personal space...
