1st Week of September, 2020

 Band and XC practice "after school" again this week.  A few things to point out.

Monday I had a Noyce meeting.  I was able to receive the scholarship again for the fall semester.  It is always nice to be recognized for hard work!

Tuesday, Kari and Kaitlyn had an orthodontist appointment.  We also decided to upgrade our internet.  With all 4 kids at home using bandwidth, it wasn't working as well as we wanted it to.  And, it turned out, that it was just a phone call and $5/month.  We upgraded and got over 10x the speed (supposedly)!

That speed test is hard wired directly into the modem.  The problem was, that none of our devices were really built to be able to use that speed.  So, even though it was supposed to increase everything exponentially, it only increased it marginally.  It was a fairly frustrating few weeks as we tried to get everything ironed out.

Wednesday and Thursday were fairly unremarkable.  Thursday and Friday hubby took off from work to get a few things done around the house.  But, mostly because he had so much PTO time left, that he HAD to take some, or he would loose it.  It was his birthday, so, it seemed like a good weekend!

On Friday, hubby rode his horse, Sixteen, for the first time.  I'll do more about that in a separate post.  

Friday was also Hubby's BIRTHDAY!  Most of us were in school, so we did a little bit more celebrating on Saturday.  We woke up and made French Toast as a luxurious breakfast.  Dylan and Kelsey took turns helping.

Hubby chose to spend a lot of the day in the shop, so we came out to keep him company.

He was working on his shop furniture.  Waaaay back in January, they looked like this:

That weekend, we spent time trimming out the drawers (that we installed sometime between January and September).  

Dylan was a good help.

I had a broken blood vessel in my finger.  I can't remember why at the moment, but it frequently comes when I play catch with hubby.

Sunday was still ward council (still meeting via zoom) and "at home" church.  We weren't very good at that, unfortunately.  But, after Dylan got the priesthood in January, we got much better!
