You may recall that Kelsey *had* a bed when we first moved in. But, within a short amount of time of being here, she was jumping on her bed and broke one of the railings. We decided at that point not to fix it for a while. She could sleep on the floor since she was the one that broke it. Well, fast forward 3 years, and we needed parts of the bed to make Kaitlyn's room work. And, since the parts we needed were available, and wouldn't require fixing the broken piece, we were more than happy to donate it! We also decided it was time to give Kelsey a real bed again, instead of just a mattress on the floor. So, we perused Amazon again (seriously, they made BANK off of us during the pandemic when we couldn't go anywhere or do anything) and found something that we all liked. Then, it was off to finish the room! We decided to personalize her room a bit by painting one of her walls purple (her favorite color).
Then it was onto installing the bed. We went with a route similar to Kaitlyn's: a bed with a desk underneath it (since Kelsey hadn't had a desk prior to now anyway. Kari was a real dear and helped me and Kelsey put it together.Thursday, July 1, 2021
COVID Renovations: Kelsey's Room
Daddy helper her hang a white board on the wall.
And then it was time to populate the rest of her room. We needed a place for all of her stuffies.
And then we hung some other shelves under her bed around the white board for all kinds of built in storage. And, of course, we filled them!
I like all the shelving she has under there to put things away (though, trust me, it does NOT look like that on a regular basis).
And she seemed pretty happy!
