After dealing with plumbing problems that morning, it was time to move on and have some fun!
For Kaitlyn's birthday, she requested that we go to an Escape Room. We were able to go with Lauren and Diana. However, with all of the parents gone, we had to leave someone at home in charge, and Kari, unfortunately, got that vote. She had, after all, done an escape room for her birthday, leaving Kaitlyn at home in charge of the young'uns. So, it was kinda fair. If we had had other options, we would have brought Kari with us. But we couldn't find a sitter either! Dang COVID, had us all wearing masks!
I am very much looking forward to the future when masks aren't a thing anymore.
After the escape room, we stopped by Sonic to get some sweet treats.
Slightly later in the day, the Woods came over to hang out, swim, and celebrate Kaitlyn's birthday with us. She blew out the candles on her donut "cake" and we all ate ourselves silly.
At the time, we were a bit early, but it was great to be able to celebrate Kaitlyn's birthday with our friends before they left!
