First Family Pa's House Trip

 The first weekend of October, 2020, we headed down to Pa's house as a family.  We got there late Friday night/Saturday morning.  So, we were a bit slow getting up on Saturday morning.  When I got outside, this is how I saw hubby....  I had not idea what was going on.

We were going to take the blue truck to do some errands on the property...  But it didn't work.  When hubby went to open the hood, he jumped back...  Apparently, a snake had made it it's home.  Its like snakes on a plane....  just in a truck instead!

The main thing we wanted to do this weekend at Pa's was to get the property ready for hunting later in the season.  We didn't plant anything this year, but we did put feeders out!  Kari was in charge of driving the tractor to bush hog the tall grass and small trees.

We put up the feeders and filled them with corn.  We also put them on an automatic timer, which needed a test run, of course.

We did eventually get the blue truck running.  Which was helpful to drive all over the property.

Once the kids saw how the feeders worked, they wanted to experience them themselves.

Don't worry. No one was hurt in the running of this experiment.

After all the running around the kids and dogs did, Pixie was pretty tired that night.

Sunday, before we left, we had a little bit more bush hogging to do.

Kelsey is such a good helper.  And, I love that Kari is not too cool to let her little sister tag along and "help".

The rest of us tagged along in the blue truck.

Hubby had set out game cameras in a few places so that he could see what kind of deer were coming through the property.  We had to check the batteries and change out the SD cards inside them.  Kaitlyn is his handy-dandy helper for this.  She knows where all the cameras are and frequently takes the buggy to go change out cards (after the buggies were fixed, of course :p )

And then it was time to go home.  And Kari got to drive the bus most (if not all) the way home.  Because....  why not?  It's cool!

It was pretty nice to be back at Pa's house after being gone for so long.
