Playing Catch

 That same Saturday, after spending some time in the shop, we went outside and played catch for a bit.  It actually wasn't blazing hot, so, we were able to enjoy ourselves a bit!  Enjoy a few actions shots!

Hubby stood on one side, and the kids all stood on the other.  Minus the beard, he looks just like he did in high school.  Backwards hat and everything :)

And, because my job is to document these things, I played around and got a few Slo-Mo videos of the kids.

Dylan...  he stopped it, then caught it with his other hand in a miraculous save!

Kelsey... I would say check out that good form, but it appears that she got hurt in the process :(  Also, notice the grass growing back in the background from the plumbing repair the weekend before.

All three older kids (after Kelsey sat down for a bit), in regular time.

However, all good things must come to an end.  And this one ended when the ball was missed and went down the drain.  The kids were all pretty disappointed.  We thought we probably lost it.

But, we found it across the street (having crossed under the road via pipe).

And, while I would have thought that Dylan would have been scared of going down into the storm drain, judging by the picture, I am very wrong!

The ball was found, and we played for a few more minutes before it was time to come inside and move on with the day's activities.  

It's always pretty magical when they can actually play nicely together!
